Top game studios in Pakistan (and how to get in)

If you love building games and think there’s no scene for it in Pakistan, that’s outdated. There are hundreds of game studios here now, mostly in Lahore and Karachi, and the good ones hire. Here are the names to know and, more importantly, the one thing that gets you in.

Those are starting points, not the whole list. To find more, search “game studio Pakistan” on LinkedIn jobs and on Rozee.pk, and follow a few studios so you catch their intake posts.

Now the part that actually matters, how to get in. In game dev, your CGPA barely counts. What counts is a portfolio. Build one or two small, playable games in Unity or Unreal, put them on itch.io, and link that on your CV. A studio can see in two minutes whether you can actually build, and a working game beats a transcript every time. If you’re an artist, the same rule applies, a public portfolio of game-ready art does the talking.
