How to land a paid internship in Pakistan (even with zero experience)
Where the internships are, when to apply, and what actually gets you in.
You don’t need experience to get an internship — that’s the whole point of one. You need to apply in the right place, at the right time, with proof you can learn. Here’s how.
When to apply: the summer window (after your 5th/6th semester) is when structured programs open and seats fill fast. Apply 1–2 months early.
Where to look:
- Structured programs, bigger intake: Systems Limited, NETSOL, 10Pearls.
- Smaller, deeper learning: Arbisoft, Devsinc, i2c (especially if you can get on an AI/data/fintech project).
- Remote / international internships: Wellfound and Y Combinator’s Work at a Startup list remote internships too.
- Watch each company’s careers page and Rozee.pk, and follow their LinkedIn for intake announcements.
What actually gets you in (with zero experience):
- One real project on GitHub — this replaces “experience.” Even a small working app beats a blank resume.
- A clean, tailored CV and a one-line pitch of what you’re learning.
- A referral or a warm intro — message someone who works there and ask for advice, not a job.
- Apply early and to several — internships are a numbers game with a short window.
Stipends vary (reported ~PKR 25–60k/mo at bigger houses; confirm before counting on it). Internships come from projects and initiative, not GPA.
Free either way — an account just keeps your list.
