Your LinkedIn as a fresher: the profile recruiters actually open
A fill-in-the-blanks checklist + the headline formula.
- Headline = skill + proof, not “seeking opportunities.” Formula: “[Field] student building [what] with [tech] · open to [role].” e.g. “CS student building AI projects with Python.”
- Kill the green ‘Open to Work’ frame — turn it on for recruiters in settings, drop the public banner.
- Projects > empty experience — 2 real projects + GitHub links beat “intern at nothing.”
- Follow + thoughtfully comment on people in your target roles.
- Clear photo + simple banner.
- The DM line that gets replies: “I want to get to where you are — could you share one piece of advice?” Ask for advice, not a job.
